The special functions included in this software are showed as below:

<1>The core's surface image can relflect the original looking of the core. And the images can be rotated, placed, enlarged, lessened randomly. It can be also rotated at different rate and angle.

<2>All the images can be compressed as JPEG format and saved. And the software supports all the JPEG format image. There is no image pixels' loss if you choose the compression rate from 1:5 to 1:10 to compress the image with JPEG format. If you choose high compression rate from 1:20 to 1:30. there is no visual difference between compressed image and uncompressed image. The high compressed images are suitable for the user to search and transfer via network promptly.

<3>Currently the software supports variety of image formats including BMP, JPEG, TIFF,GIF,PCX,TGA, etc. to meet users' needs.

<4>The software offers many image process functions to improve the image's vision quality. And it can measure the core's (>0.2mm) geological parameter such as length, width, orientation and area.

(1) Adjust the brightness/ saturation/ chroma of core image.

(2) Adjust the brightness/contrast/gray of core image.

(3) Adjust image distribution curve to improve the quality of core image.

(4)Rotate the direction of image randomly

(5)Adjust the image size randomly.

(6) Measure the geological parameter which is large than 0.2mm ,such as length, width, and orientation

(7) The image can be cut and put together easily.
